Getting Married with a Winchester Wedding Photographer

The day began in Winchester, a historic cathedral city known for its medieval landmarks and vibrant charm. It’s a fantastic location for couples planning a stylish yet intimate wedding, with numerous beautiful spots ideal for photography.

Jo & James chose Winchester Registry Office for their ceremony, a popular wedding ceremony venue with easy access to the city centre. The ceremony room is light and timeless, perfect for capturing candid moments and emotional vows.

Wedding Reception at Hotel du Vin Winchester

Following the ceremony, guests made their way to Hotel du Vin Winchester, one of the city’s most sought-after wedding venues. With its boutique interiors and charming courtyard, Hotel du Vin provides a luxurious setting for the reception.

As their Winchester wedding photographer, I loved capturing the natural moments between guests in the courtyard. Winchester’s historic streets also made for stunning couple portraits just before the reception.

In the evening, the wedding party headed to the New Forest for a change of scenery. The reception continued at Balmer Lawn Hotel, a classic New Forest wedding venue in Brockenhurst. Set among open forest and wildlife, Balmer Lawn was perfect for evening celebrations and dancing.

We made the most of the golden hour with some relaxed portraits on the lawn before the evening guests arrived. It was the perfect end to a day filled with love, laughter, and joy.
