Hollie & James – Careys Manor Wedding in Brockenhurst

This wedding at Careys Manor in the heart of the New Forest was the kick off to the 2014 wedding season. Hollie and James were one of the first couples to book me for 2014 and it was also a while since I’d photographed at this wedding venue in Brockenhurst. It was great to be back, I’d forgotten how stunning the grounds were and luckily for us we were able to make the most of them. I met Hollie at her home in the morning where she was having make up and hair by the lovely girls at Amazing Face.  The weather was perfect and the bridal party travelled by campervan through the New Forest to the wedding ceremony which was also at Careys Manor.

Hollie looked perfect in her short vintage wedding dress and birdcage and the best thing of all is that we could see the fabulous wedding shoes which are usually hidden from view which is such a shame. After the ceremony we headed outside for bubbles of the drinking and blowing kind, followed by some formal family groups and a short trip in the VW campervan for some portraits of the couple in the New Forest. We headed in for speeches which were very emotional and it also included one from the bridesmaid which is always good to see on a wedding day. The evening was crazy and the dance floor rocked all night thanks to Toby at Your DJ who is also the recommended DJ at the hotel.

A perfect day all round and it wasn’t long before I was back at Careys Manor for my next wedding. A big thank you to Matt Cleveland for second shooting and for managing to get some fine images on his beautiful Fuji X100 (I need to get one of these cameras).
